You hate making excuses, but that may have been the straw that split up the camels' back for the Nuggets the other day.

Previously, Dwyane Wade tossed in 26 points and Lebron James supplied 24 in the Heat 107-91 win over the Cavaliers. Miami tuned up for a long road trip by taking care of Lebron's former team. Chris Bosh finished with 15-points for the Heat, who hae won 11 of their last 13 games. Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem hit 14 each for Miami. The Heat road lilt begins Wednesday night at Orlando with the Magic and ends with a head trip to Cleveland on February 17th. 


Eventhough Howard was the most prevalent player in Monday's game up against the Clippers, it was Paul at point guard who kept in line the game at the end, heading a retort, showing up just how worthful a great point guard can be. The Los Angeles Lakers had already worked over the Utah Jazz double this season, so going into Utah on February 4 required the team feeling good. The Lakers were coming off a prominent win up against the Denver Nuggets on February 3 and looking to win their fourth straight win.

The Philadelphia 76ers are doing a outstanding job in the middle of a unmanageable seven game reach. Philadelphia is 3-1 so far during the streak that sees them face teams with winning records. They overcame the Atlanta Hawks on the road to bring in their recent win and go to 17-7 on the season.
